September 24 | Seizing Global Opportunities: Forum on Startup Ecosystems & International Resources

In recent years, the global startup market has been evolving rapidly.
To help Taiwanese startups gain deeper insights into international market trends and expand global business opportunities, the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau, together with the Asia Pacific Accelerator Network (AAN), is hosting the “International Startup Exchange Forum.”

This event brings together seasoned experts with extensive international experience to share first-hand market insights and practical know-how, guiding startups in developing forward-looking global strategies.

The forum will focus on the international startup environment and market trends, covering the latest industry observations, entrepreneurial resources and support systems across different countries, as well as go-to-market strategies and case studies. Three distinguished professionals from Singapore, Thailand, and Japan will share their expertise—an opportunity not to be missed!

🇸🇬 Singapore | Tony Yu – Partner, JUTA Ventures
With ten years of experience in technology venture capital, Tony previously held leadership roles in R&D and business management at technology companies both in Taiwan and abroad. His expertise spans software, IC design, wireless and broadband communications, and medical electronics. He has extensive knowledge and hands-on involvement in both building startups and navigating the operations and culture of Fortune 500 companies. Tony holds dual master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University, a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

🇹🇭 Thailand | James Chen – Chairman, Chipsip Technology
James Chen is a seasoned serial entrepreneur and the Chairman of an OTC-listed company specializing in semiconductor storage IP. Beyond technology, he has broad investment experience in Southeast Asia, particularly in real estate, green energy, digital marketing, and the mother-and-baby sector. With deep industry insight and strategic resources, James identifies high-potential opportunities and drives sustainable growth. He is passionate about innovation and business development, continuously expanding his influence across industries, fostering collaboration, and creating lasting impact. In the Thai market, he supports Taiwanese enterprises with IPO planning, provides hands-on startup mentoring, and connects companies with resources in technology, energy, and healthcare.

🇯🇵 Japan | Ten Motomura – Managing Director, TGVest Capital
(Note: This session will be conducted in English.)
Ten has over 25 years of experience in venture capital, investing in technology companies from seed to late stage across Japan, Taiwan, and the United States. Before founding his own VC firm, he served as Managing Director and Head of Japan at TGVest Capital. Prior to TGVest, he held senior investment roles at INCJ and JAFCO. His investment focus includes deep tech, semiconductors, and B2B software, with a proven track record that covers Appier, Renesas Electronics, Dynamic Map Platform, Digital Media Professionals, NuCore Technology, Inventute, Floadia, and Tokium.
