AAN Annual General Meeting

The 2026 AAN Annual General Meeting was a great success! 🌟🥂

The 2026 AAN Annual General Meeting was successfully held on June 2nd at Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) in the Taipei Arena. Centering on the theme "Annual Report X International Exchange," the event brought member representatives together to review AAN’s achievements over the past year. Attendees also engaged in fruitful discussions regarding the association's future directions in member services, global networking, and startup support.

 

 

 

A special thanks to Dr. Andrew Ouderkirk for joining us as our featured speaker. Dr. Ouderkirk is a Member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and the Principal and Co-founder of IO Innovation LLC. Previously, he held key roles at 3M and Meta and holds over 550 issued U.S. patents. During his tenure at 3M, he invented and commercialized the Multilayer Optical Film (MOF) technology that revolutionized the display industry. Later, as a Research Director at Meta Reality Labs, he led the development of next-generation advanced optical architectures for VR/AR. In this keynote session, Dr. Ouderkirk drew on his extensive R&D and industrial innovation experience to guide our members on transforming high-uncertainty scientific research into a commercial roadmap protected by a powerful patent moat. ✨🌏
